The 3M 1528-3 Microfoam Surgical Tape is a latex-free, hypoallergenic, elastic foam tape that is designed to stretch and conform to joints or skin folds. This tape is designed to provide secure adhesion to joints or skin folds, making it ideal for a variety of medical applications.
This tape features a multi-direction stretch to accommodate swelling and promote comfort. It conforms readily to joints and skin folds, providing gentle, secure adhesion to irregularly contoured sites. It is also water-resistant, making it suitable for use in various conditions.
The 3M 1528-3 Microfoam Surgical Tape is intended for use in managing exudating wounds, including abrasions and lacerations, dermal wounds, donor sites, first- and second-degree burns, surgical incisions, vascular access sites, pressure ulcers stave I-IV, stasis ulcers, and venous ulcers.
This surgical tape should not be used on patients with known sensitivity to alginates or on patients with sensitivity to silver or silver compounds, on third-degree burns, ulcers resulting from infections, lesions in patients with active vasculitis, and it should not be surgically implanted.
The 3M 1528-3 Microfoam Surgical Tape is easy to apply and remove. It may be applied immediately following initial catheter placement or during routine catheter dressing change. The tape is secured in place with a retention dressing such as gauze, transparent film, or tape and may be worn up to seven (7) days. To remove, simply lift the tape from the catheter and discard according to institutional policy.
The tape measures 3″ x 5-1/2yd and comes in a box of 4, with 6 boxes per case.
