The study concerns a three-week long out-patient wound treatment with the aim of wound base conditioning for a skin graft. The 42 patients observed were treated under dry conditions with enzymatic cleansing or with TenderWet. The wounds were visually assessed by the physicians according to the proportional area of granulation tissue.
The increase in visibly granulating wound area on treatment with TenderWet active is visibly more rapid than in the case of enzymatic cleansing (mean values of treatment duration).
After barely 18 days, the visible granulation tissue had more than doubled under treatment with TenderWet.
