What is a fleece sponge?
Disposable non-woven sponges that are far less linting than woven gauze sponges. Nonwovens have more space between the fibers; these spaces serve as reservoirs for storing liquids and therefore have a higher suction capacity. Since the fibers in fabrics are firmly spun into yarn, there is less room for liquids between the fibers. Non-woven dressing is made up of fibers that are pressed together to resemble a fabric but are not really interwoven.
